For Second Consecutive Year, Dublin is Only U.S. City to Earn Four AAA Rating Honors for Exceptional Financial Stewardship

(Dublin, Ohio) – In recognition of exceptional financial stewardship, the City of Dublin has again received the highest credit ratings from S&P Global Ratings, Fitch Ratings, Moody’s Investor Service and KBRA. This was the second year that the City was reviewed by KBRA, and their rating, issued in conjunction with the August 2025 debt issuances, reaffirms Dublin’s role as the first and only city in the United States to earn four AAA ratings.

  • S&P Global Ratings assigned its AAA long-term rating for the eighth consecutive year, recognizing Dublin’s economic development tools and infrastructure investments to retain and attract businesses.
  • Fitch Ratings assigned Dublin a AAA rating, which the City has held since 2000, acknowledging the City’s well-diversified economy and financial resilience.
  • Moody’s Investor Service gave Dublin a Aaa rating, which the City has held since 2004, noting the City’s robust financial position and strong resident income.
  • KBRA assigned Dublin a long-term rating of AAA, which the City also received in 2024, highlighting the City’s diverse and growing tax base and conservative City budgeting and financial management practices.

“This recognition reflects the trust our community places in us to manage its finances responsibly,” said Chief Financial Officer/Director of Finance Matt Rubino. “Our strong financial position, as confirmed by the rating agencies, allows us to make thoughtful investments, maintain essential services and plan confidently for the future while protecting public resources.”

The City is committed to providing world-class, innovative services and amenities that make Dublin the most desirable and sustainable community. As a result, Dublin is recognized globally for exemplary fiscal health, accountability and transparency.

Most recently, for the fourth consecutive year, the City earned the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada Triple Crown Award, a valuable distinction recognizing governments that demonstrate exceptional financial reporting, budgeting and transparency. The Triple Crown honor underscores the City’s strong commitment to fiscal stewardship and clear communication with residents and businesses.
